We don't see how this could harm the ecosystem. Acurast seams to be an interesting product.
I think it's too early because they haven't launched Polkadot support yet.
4 previous proposals, other chains have funded them, little to show for or clear destination emerging market.
I would like to see Acurast more involved in the Polkadot community. What kind of marketing can we do for a product that is not even integrated within Polkadot? Will we end up marketing other protocols?
Echoing W1ZSPR3's comment, they don't even have a Polkadot parachain yet.
Posting a Wish for Change proposal to be included in the marketing efforts is an absolute non-sense that has to stop. If a team has potential, then the Marketing Bounty team, with their $1M per month marketing budget, should get in touch with them (or vice versa) and market them for the benefit of the network. Marketing Bounty curators are not in a position to pick and choose teams to be marketed, all teams developing on Polkadot technologies are eligible candidates to be included in marketing narratives. The only case when they could be excluded from marketing efforts is when they publicly refuse it themselves, and this kind of protocol shouldn't be hard to establish in an ecosystem of this size. Utilization of the Wish For Change track for marketing inclusion was devised solely to generate consent and make an excuse for DED marketing, and punish the teams/individuals who refused to bend the knee. I cannot state it enough times: this practice has to be exterminated.
