Nova Wallet is great. We hope to see Novasama Technologies continue to work on maintaining and improving the wallet.

My opinion is similar to that I had for the Subwallet proposal. I have long been noting the issue of excessive funding of wallets, each costing the treasury over $1M yearly (and counting), with some teams receiving well above this amount including marketing budgets. And this case with an over $1.5M yearly budget, compensated solely by the treasury, is only adding to the problem. I have also advocated the necessity of a more sustainable funding model for the wallets since DV Cohort I, and I am not sure whether wallet teams are considering alternative funding methods and their sustainability with enough tenacity. There seems to be a spending inertia in this department, and in my opinion, we should ideally have a bounty-like structure for wallets, or RFPs, rather than teams arbitrarily charging retroactively without prior consultation with the community.

The product is great. I'm looking forward to see a better way to allocate grants to wallets. They should compete with each other by lower budget and higher quality product. I'm not looking forward to see a competition who can get more money from the treasury.

I'll put the same comments I had on the subwallet proposal here as I have pretty much the same opinion, maybe a bit more biased towards Nova as I've been a happy user since years but still.

This is a very good example on why similar proposals should be funded around the same time, we have funded both Talisman and SubWallet with similar proposals. Now, in my opinion arguing that since we funded them we SHOULDN'T fund Nova since it's now too much money spent on wallets or we SHOULD fund them since Talisman and Subwallet were funded doesn't hold water for the same reason. We really need to have dedicated months for similar, especially high budget, proposals so that holders can evaluate the money being spent more clearly.

At this point we're pouring millions of DOT into these wallets, been doing so for years, I see very little effort to explore other commercial avenues from both (why would you when coming back to treasury gets you a cool $1M each time?)

So maybe a good time start signalling that.

I believe that Ionian's comments are quite accurate given the current situation we are experiencing in Polkadot, and I agree with him.
Furthermore, I also find it concerning that increasingly expensive proposals are being presented within governance, leading to an inflationary spiral that seems to have no end in sight.
