I believe they are an important team given how few NFTs we have in Polkadot, and I understand the urgency of approving this proposal.
However, I am a little concerned about their future and profitability, given that their only source of funding continues to be the Polkadot Treasury.
I will abstain.

I don't think letting such a great potential tool depreciate because NFT "tulip mania" is over. NFTs have incredible potential with myriad of real world applications. While I agree with fellow members that the public good angle is not a great look but hopefully they can explore other revenue options when Polkadot Hub comes online.

5 years on the making, we do have UNIQUE to offer nft primitives, is this open source tech easy to fork? I see it as having a marketplace tool like this is important if it can be reused easily by others. ! or 2 really active devs... I'll abstain and reconsider my vote if there was a path to self-sufficiency.

After approximately $600K investment in Koda, and assuming this project is a continuation of it, I would expect more protocol-level innovation in the proposal. I think the main priority for the ecosystem should be radical innovation in every field, and in this case, it could only be achieved at protocol-level (e.g. novel NFT protocols to compete with Metaplex and others) and application-level (e.g. new attractive auction and collection mechanisms). With contracts live on Kusama, I don't think there's any obstacle.
