Snowbridge is a bridge between Polkadot and Ethereum, working well for over a year.
It connects with 24 parachains and apps, holding over $75M in value.
The team wants to upgrade it (V2), add support for Ethereum L2 chains, and make it faster.
They also plan better marketing and easier tools for developers.
The total cost is $2.8M, split into payments.
Most funds will be in stablecoins, with some in DOT later.
The DOT payment shows the team believes in Polkadot’s success.
OpenGov can stop payments if goals aren’t met.

@Polkadotters supporting Ethereum L2's is the immediate next roadmap item our team will work on, once Snowbridge V2 is live. Snowbridge V2 is planned to release within the next month, whereafter our team will start with Ethereum L2 support implementation.

@OpenSquare/Yongfeng Snowbridge is part of the Polkadot SDK, runs on Polkadot AssetHub and BridgeHub, thus wholly part of the Polkadot core infrastructure. This is radically different that the other bridges you mentioned and is why the bridge should be funded as part of treasury.
