Terminated

Description

https://polkadot.subsquare.io/referenda/1553

Polkadot is asking for $100,000 to help them work with the Texas Blockchain Council (TBC). TBC is a group that talks to lawmakers about rules for blockchain. Polkadot wants to be a part of TBC to help make good rules and find new business opportunities. The money will be used to join TBC and have someone work full-time on this. Judge Lucich, who has experience in business and community leadership, will help Polkadot with this project. They want to work with lawmakers, try new things, and make Polkadot more known in the United States.

I think Grizz is a great representative and it would be good to give him a chance to see what's delivered over the next year.

The proposal gives me the impression of someone who is clearly on top of his field, and our internal discussions have made me confident that Texas is a good location for this effort to take place in. There are clear KPIs against which we can evaluate a possible future extension. Aye.

A very well written proposal with defined KPIs, a good track record and easily observable competency. Looking forward to more regional representation for Polkadot and hoping that the work of Grizz sets a precedent for cost effective grass roots campaigning rather than nonsensical marketing efforts.

Texas Blockchain Council is a great event within the web3 ecosystem, with a lot of recognition and weight. I think the vision of the proposal is correct and that Polkadot can have a great presence.

Texas is probably the #1 US market/state we need to invest more in at the moment imo (along with Florida). Not many other states in the US make sense to invest in right now, so generally think this is a good use of funds given the relatively low ask compared to other marketing spends.

This is a multi-year endeavor, hope to see reports on "crypto technology" classification as a different asset form and "crypto currency" regulation. Please note differences of classification on "technology and currency", big difference. I'm open for discussion.
