The Spammening was a special event involving Amforc and Parity Technologies to test how well the Polkadot network can handle many transactions.
This event included different phases and a big public test that showed strong performance of the Polkadot ecosystem.
Before the main test, Amforc did other smaller tests on the Polkadot and Kusama networks.
Amforc worked hard without getting paid during this project and is now asking for 45,000 USDT as a reward for their efforts.

It was great initiative. To avoid inviting "popularity tips" it would be great to understand the scope of work and hours spent. Echoing Saxemberg, this compensation cost should be adequately accounted for upfront in order to enable the DAO to provide it's best judgement..

It was a great initiative. But we would like to know how much work was involved here. The size of the amount isn't an issue; it is more about how much work was dedicated to making this happen.

This probably should have been discussed with community before hand, after all that's the point of the forums... so we can all weigh in on what value is fair. Is $45k low or high? Regardless I feel it's worth tipping as the marketing alone justifies the cost as it did create good buzz for the eco.
