Here's a simple summary of the ink! Alliance proposal:

The ink! Alliance wants to finish making ink! v6 ready for Polkadot Hub
This will let Rust developers build smart contracts on Polkadot
They're asking for $538,000 to work for 6 months
ink! is important because it uses Polkadot's special technology called PolkaVM
Right now, about 1/3 of test contracts are already using ink!
The money will help fix security issues and make ink! easier to use
They'll create learning materials and help developers
This helps Polkadot stand out from other blockchain platforms

ink! is a valuable native product of the ecosystem, and the curator board is powerful with accounts from Parity, Polytope, and more. However the proposal is missing sufficient budget breakdown, and operation details such as personnel list. I'm supportive of the initiative, but this missing information in a proposal of this size is not very appropriate. I abstain.

I agree with what the other team members have said. The proposal is good, but half a million dollars without having a very clear breakdown does not seem right to me. I think we need more transparency on that.

It would be nice to see something beyond "number of contracts deployed" - e.g. that the contracts are leading to meaningful adoption, and that the overall developer experience of Ink is a key factor in that.
