A 2-day workshop called Polkadot Experience was held in Arequipa, Peru.
The workshop taught developers about blockchain, cryptography, and the Polkadot ecosystem.
Topics included hash functions, smart contracts, Rust programming, and Polkadot's architecture.
Participants built blockchains using the Polkadot SDK and learned about XCM interoperability.
The event had great participation and included people in Polkadot's official channels.
Two teams from Arequipa won scholarships and placed 1st and 3rd in a hackathon in Lima.
The workshop was self-funded and aimed to promote blockchain development in Arequipa.

It's a good initiative, and I find the proposal well prepared keeping in mind the minor amount asked. Events bounty doesn't fund retroactively, and as the proposers stated in their proposal, the bounty didn't exist when they organized the event. Good explanations in the responses to the comments on the proposal. I think we should support this. Aye.

We support this proposal since it is retroactive. We think it would be better in the future if these types of proposals will also be assessed by bounties.
