Hey all,
I booked a call for tomorrow, but would still like to get this of my chest.
Do we really think Polkadot is in a position to wait?
Projects are shutting down, new users are not coming in, and devs who are still building here are running out of runway or are simply being pushed away. Meanwhile, we keep funding infrastructure and tooling for what, for the same 2 or 3 teams to continue shipping internal tech no one outside the ecosystem is even aware of?
Let’s be honest for once and stop pretending this ecosystem has the luxury of waiting. We’re not Ethereum, we don’t have the gravity to sit back and “let adoption come.” Either we start building now, with real users and real use cases in mind, or we’re just preparing beautiful infrastructure for a future that never arrives.
The idea that something is “too early” has become a convenient excuse to do nothing while others take the risk and build the future. For four years, I’ve heard that phrase repeated over and over. And then when the wave hits, we cry about not having what we need. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t say we want adoption and then vote Nay on every attempt to reach users.
Pixelproof is not perfect, but it’s something, and it’s built by a team that’s already proven it delivers. We took feedback seriously, we cut the budget, we scoped it to an MVP, and we committed to routing revenue back to the treasury. What more exactly is the bar for being taken seriously?
We either keep hoping JAM will save us whenever it comes, or we start building things users can touch now. Your call.
