A new curator team is being proposed for the Public RPC Bounty due to the previous curators not renewing their intent.
This caused providers to not be paid for services in November and December 2024.
The new team aims to improve reporting, stakeholder engagement, payouts, SLA reviews, and transparency.
The proposed curators are Frankywild, Coinstudio, Tim Janssen, Cappex, and Pastaman.
They have experience managing a similar bounty on Kusama and are working on administrative improvements.
The Public RPC Bounty provides structured and price-controlled RPC services to the public.
It replaced individual invoicing with a public tender process based on technical capabilities.
The bounty has improved RPC service delivery, though some administrative aspects need refinement.

With the exception of Coinstudio, the other curators I have seen already involved in different bounties, and also, some with certain complaints from community members for the high amount of funds they have been paid being curators. Personally this makes me not feel good about voting AYE for the proposal.

I think it's good to have a functioning bounty for this purpose alongside IBP. There is not a lot of balance left on the bounty either, so I support the new curators to carry out their duties to complete this phase of the bounty. The outcome should be evaluated at the end of this phase.
