I haven't seen enough worthwhile content from the Anti-Scam team to justify a $500k top-up, all of videos they've put up on Youtube and what they're doing on Twitter are purely ornamental in my opinion.

It's an indispensable bounty, and it's crucial work. Yet, I'm afraid it requires a lot more transparency regarding the work done. I figure there are 4 prominent members of the group have received 6-figure totals since March'22: frankywild ~$237K, 0xpasta $134K, timjanssen1989 $134K, and cmalize $105K. When we look into the child bounties it's not hard to notice the lack of necessary transparency. Child bounties 2925, 2719 and 2546 for frankywild, for instance, received $5228, $5060 and $4252 respectively for "Detection and takedown of scam/phishing sites", but I wasn't able to find details about the activities that went into these child bounty requests. I think the group should be granted a smaller bounty for the first quarter or half of 2025, and the results should be examined for more transparency before a further top-up.

I think this team has achieved a good cause, because it really is a good thing to prevent scams within Polkadot, but they have ended up squeezing Polkadot's treasury. Considering that over half a million dollars has been paid out between 4 curators seems to me to be an aberration. I think this bounty should be redone from scratch.

I agree with other members' concerns. I tend to check and compare what if we stop it, and maybe it can help us better see its ROI.

Would like to hear from this team. Remember them being diligent. Surprised to hear the feedback that they've not been more valuable.
