[WFC] DOT #1775 - Transparency & Fairness in Decentralized Nodes (DN) Validator Selection
active
Description

https://polkadot.subsquare.io/referenda/1775

  • People want the Decentralized Networks (DN) program to be more fair and clear.
  • They ask for simple rules that everyone can understand.
  • The committee making decisions should be open about who they are.
  • There should be a way to ask questions or challenge decisions.
  • New and small operators should have a better chance to join.
  • After each group is chosen, results should be shared publicly.
  • Changes should happen within 30 to 60 days.
  • This helps build trust in the program.

W3F is a sovereign organization, and I don't think the Wish for Change track applies to this situation. I would take one step further and say that this is an inappropriate attempt to interfere with W3F's internal processes, an unfortunate way to escalate this issue. There are a lot better ways to engage with the community and operators if the proposer wants to secure their spot in better relationships. Nay.
