RegionX is a parachain that creates a trustless marketplace for Coretime.
It helps teams buy and sell Coretime easily.
Coretime is cheap now, but demand might grow as more projects join Polkadot.
RegionX will use DOT as its main currency for governance and fees.
It will not be a system parachain to avoid overloading the Polkadot Fellowship.
The team wants to deploy it on Kusama first to improve the user interface.
The goal is to make Polkadot the best platform for hosting rollups.

Anything that makes it dead easy to buy, sell, trade core time is priority, many things can be done in that front and very conducive to experimentation. They could fund this through Kusama instead of the Dot treasury, that is teh reason why I do abstain at this point.

I don't agree with the need to go through the Kusama treasury. I believe we should support this and let it happen sooner rather than later. The benefit is for Polkadot, specifically Polkadot Cloud.

Reading through the proposal doc, they're wasking for Phase 1 funding which is exclusively on Kusama development, they'll come back for funding for next phases which are on Polkadot. Solid proposal with a good plan otherwise, I'm not up to speed on how something like this should be handled with split development phases in Kusama and Polkadot so abstaining on this one.

I don't see the necessity for this to be on a parachain. We already have the Coretime chain managing this, and if more flexibility is required, then Kian's suggestions seem appropriate and feasible to me. It can be done on Asset Hub, utilizing contracts if necessary. A parachain for this purpose is an overkill. On top, I cannot say I'm happy with the product quality of RegionX. Nay.
