Description

Dead Canary Club is a limited collection of 1,000 undead canary NFTs on RMRK. We have launched via our coffin blind mint (a la Buffchimpz, Kubots) with a phased roll out of 900 animated coffin NFTs and a 1000 max supply. Each coffin will contain one unique Dead Canary NFT that will be airdropped on reveal day (Feb 25th). Our long term vision is to create an entire Dead Pets metaverse with several collections and assets under our Dead Pets Society brand.

It honestly doesn't make sense why a blind drop is curated? Verify the collection by all means, but this would never be curated in a gallery. I think you should remove this and re-submit after the drop has occurred, I'd be happy to support then.

I vote Nay because I believe curating an unrevealed collection would set the wrong precedent. Kubots and Chimps were both revealed and had full art shown at the time of their curation, and Dinos were a commercial partnership. I have nothing against abstaining or voting Aye on revealed art, but unrevealed does not convince me, sorry.

To JJB and Paola,

I appreciate your comments and concerns and would like to further the conversation in this discussion board.

Are there any additional negatives or concerns of yours with curating a collection in the pre-hatch phase? We have seen collections such as KuBots, Dino x Dino, Buffchimpz and others curated on RMRK before their reveals. This simply helps collections garner interest and attention to drive the community towards these gamified methods (eggs/coffins).

Suggesting that our collection could have negative impacts on the marketplace due to it's phase in it's rollout sounds disingenuous, given the previous collections supported by the RMRK team.

Would you care to provide some clarity on the issues you may have had with this process?

Our collection will continue to have a process of intermittently revealing blind coffins. We will not be selling any canaries directly, they can only be obtained via their coffin.

Kubots and Buffchimpz were curated after they were revealed. Dino on the other hand is a commercial partnership with RMRK. I hope you understand it's nothing against you or your work, but was done in consideration of future projects for curation. The spot can be susceptible to abuse by other more malicious parties if left alone. Curation is aimed to highlight already notable works within our community and should not be seen as advertising space for unrevealed works.

To be clear with everyone, when we submitted for verification we had our entire generative collection sent in and revealed to the team privately via our google drive. It's not necessarily unrevealed. We have also been posting revealed artwork of the NFTs regularly on our Twitter and other socials. If everyone rather we have our Dead Canary Club collection up and running before curation, then so be it. We deeply appreciate everyones feedback and concerns. Thank you!
