Unlike conventional sports betting, where users just place a bet and wait or sell, Sportsgeist empowers a more social and competitive Sports betting experience
This approach unleashes the power of free markets between users, fostering new opportunities for all participants while enabling them to directly connect with one another. By harnessing the cutting-edge benefits of Web3 technology and the user-friendliness of Web2 technology, Sportsgeist combines the best of both worlds. This innovative platform will fundamentally change how people invest in their sports knowledge, marking the evolution of Sports Betting to a more social experience.

The proposal outlines a plan for the development and launch of Sportsgeist, a peer-to-peer (P2P) betting app that aims to revolutionize the sports betting industry. The project's objectives are to create a user-driven, social, and competitive betting platform, utilizing the advantages of both Web2 and Web3 technologies to provide a secure, decentralized, and user-friendly experience.
The scope of work includes the creation of a vision statement, a litepaper for the MVP, wireframes, a full design paper, a mock-up & clickable prototype, an official website, and finally, the development of the MVP. The timeline for these deliverables ranges from June 2023 to Q1/Q2 2024.
Potential risks such as inadequate understanding of user needs, unclear vision or strategy, technical challenges, overambitious MVP, misalignment between MVP and market needs, scope creep, ineffective communication, resource constraints, and insufficient quality assurance have been identified. Mitigation strategies for each of these risks have been proposed.
